Surely you want to discover the secret that make Millionaires who they are. Maybe you’re asking “What do Millionaires have that I don’t?” A lot! And I’m learning these along the way in my path towards becoming a Millionaire-Billionaire-Gazillionaire. Here’s what I’ve uncovered so far about the Secrets of the Millionaire Mind! 

I am inspired to write about personal finances today. First because I will be seeing my money jars in action today (more on that later visit eOFW.Net for my money jars story). Second because I was asked some very good personal finance questions yesterday by Kiko, a Starshooters player, which made me re-visit my financial plans.

Let me tell you about the Millionaire Mind Intensive through stories and photos.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

I first read the book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T Harv Eker circa 2006 when I started studying about personal finance. From that book, I learned to have the mindset of being a Money Magnet. The book was my introduction to the world of personal finance. And it was the best personal finance book for me at that point in my life.

Fast forward 4 years later, I attended the Millionaire Mind Intensive in Singapore. It was 3-days of intensive talks, experiences and learnings. Oh, let me tell you the story through photos.

Millionaire Mind Intensive

Meeting Harv “Face to Face”. :-) Harv was an awesome energetic in-your-face presenter. He had bold statements which just really made people “face” their money programs.

I was amazed at how T Harv Eker and his team of trainers and volunteer staff were able to manage an audience of 5,000+ ! Whew, you got that right, 5,000+ participants. It was the biggest seminar I had attended at that time. We had participants flying in from the Philippines, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Malaysia … well, the Malaysians just took a bus to Singapore ;-) .

It was interesting how the seminar accommodated non-English speaking participants by providing real-time audio-translation. So at some points when Harv asked us to “turn to a person beside you, give them a high five and say YOU HAVE A MILLIONAIRE MIND!” , I turned to my Chinese seatmate and he told me: “cheng chong ee er wha hey!” and we understood each other ;-) .

I attended the seminar together with Millionaire Mind Rezza Custodio. There was one intense activity where we came to understand each other’s money programs on a heart-level. I love you Rezza! Let’s have a fabulous empowering life with financial freedom!

The seminar taught us to remind each other “You have a millionaire mind!” Such an awesome anchor. Just writing this now, I recall how empowered I can be to manage my own financial freedom.

In the book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, I learned that when I’m walking around, each time I saw a coin on the floor, make sure to pick-up the coin and scream “I AM A MONEY MAGNET!” It is a reminder that money flows to me and I am a grateful receiver! Since then, I’ve picked up coins from the street, from the floor where there are street kids nearby (*they* didn’t pick it up, so I did), and — one of the most extreme — I took a pee and I saw a 1 peso coin in the urinal! You guessed it right, I picked up the 1 peso coin. Because I AM A MONEY MAGNET!

In the seminar, we had an experience of this. I got to pick up coins from the floor. More importantly, I got to pick up coins from the Stage when I volunteered to come up to stage for one demonstration (Sayang, wala akong picture nun).

One of the intense activities involved lodging the tip of an arrow on your throat and breaking it! It was a metaphor for breaking disempowering mindsets like: “I don’t deserve money” or “It’s hard to earn money” or “It’s unfair to earn more money” and other crap like that.

The activity involved a partner who would keep the arrow up with the palm of his hand (see Tristan below on the left) while the arrow breaker puts the pointed tip of the arrow on the bottom of his throat (the soft portion between your collar bones). By his own accord, the arrow breaker steps forward to break the arrow! Intense!

It’s liberating, exhilarating going through an Arrow Breaking experience. It must be done in a supervised and controlled environment. When done properly, it is a very empowering activity! Something to look forward to when you take your Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar.

This is what it feels like to break those damn arrows, to break those damn money programs!
