Gratitude Journal Nov 3

November 4th, 2011

Today I am thankful for:

  • Being on purpose.
  • Meeting my bank manager, finding out some financial options.
  • Becoming more clear with how to better manage my time, energy and income streams.
  • Being aware of my fears and confronting them. Sometimes it’s just having the “Just do it” attitude.
  • Going 100% with my gratitude journal. – Day 19 na ;-) .  Read the rest of this entry »

Let Go of negative feelings and more!

November 2nd, 2011

I totally understand the teaching about letting go of negative feelings.

For instance, it is healthy for me to let go of resentments, hurt feelings, painful words or acts against me. Hanging on to these negative feelings is like hanging on to acid — it robs us of happiness.

Letting go of negative feelings, I understand easily.

But here’s a mind-blowing lesson that took me some time to understand.
Are you ready to hear this mind-blowing lesson?

Let Go. Let Go of negative feelings. Let Go of positive feelings too!

November 2nd, 2011

Yes, THE Shamcey Supsup. The Binibining Pilipinas 2011 and Miss Universe runner-up Shamcey.

Shams (I call her Shams, by the way) invited me to have pizza last week at Pizza Hut Bistro in Glorietta 4.

I was hesitant at first, I wanted to tell her I was already in a committed relationship with Rezza.

Pero Shams wanted to meet me. So I gave in.

The Prayer of Jabez

November 1st, 2011

The Prayer of Jabez helps me expand my territory!

Oh, that You may bless me indeed!

And expand my territory!

May Your hand be upon me,

And keep evil far away from me

So that I may cause no pain.

I pray this daily. And it helps me be open to God’s blessings and nudges.

And I say my thanks daily too ;-) . I am grateful for: Read the rest of this entry »

Your Hair Is Green!

November 1st, 2011

I’d like to share a lesson I learned from my training mentor, Greg Forbes. Greg shares this message in the PSI seminar.

There is nothing anybody can say or do that will make you feel bad unless you allow.

If somebody walked up to you and told you “Your hair is green”, how would you react?
Would you say:

“Oh no! I feel so bad! You’re right, my hair is green!”

Or would you say:

“That’s not true at all. It’s funny that you even thought my hair is green :-) .”

You’d probably brush it off because you know that your hair is not green. Maybe because your hair is blue :-) .

Who says my hair is green? No it ain't! It's blue :-) !

Who says my hair is green? No it ain't! It's blue :-) !

Now let’s change the words a bit.

If somebody walked up to you and told you “You are a liar”, how would you react? Read the rest of this entry »

Rejoice in God’s blessings!

October 31st, 2011

Today, I talk about gifts. I know All Saint’s Day is not well-known for gift giving. This is my hang-over from my mom’s 70th birthday celebration. :-) .

Life is Overflowing with Gifts from our good Lord

Life is Overflowing with Gifts from our good Lord

What do you do when a gift is given to you?

a.) Do you accept it gratefully? Or do you refuse it?
b.) Do you open it excitedly as soon as you can? Or do you wait and dilly-dally for a few days/weeks/months before you open the gift? (and when you do open the gift, do you say … “ay, yan lang pala”)
c.) When you open the gift, do you use the gift as soon as possible? Or do you keep it displayed and on stand-by until it gathers dust or gets forgotten? Read the rest of this entry »

Allowing Loved Ones to be HOT: Honest, Open and Trusting

October 30th, 2011

My dad and I had a very honest, open and trusting conversation (HOT) today.

My dad is a very traditional person. I’ve come to accept that at his age of 71, he has a different world view compared to mine. I’ve accepted the fact that he has beliefs in his life that are different for my own beliefs in my life. We’ve learned to respect each other amidst our very different way of living our lives.

Sometimes my dad keeps his thoughts or feelings to himself. Sometimes he feels that I might feel bad about something he says – thus he chooses to not express his thoughts or feelings. This may be because in the past, I expressed disagreement or even disapproval of my dad’s opinions or thoughts. I realize now how I have contributed to my Dad’s misgivings about expressing his thoughts to me.

But today, with the encouragement of Keric, my dad expressed himself to me. Dad called me for a private conversation in his room and expressed his thoughts about how I use my time and energy.

I responded with three messages:  Read the rest of this entry »
